THIS WEEKEND IN CHICAGO – Are You Ready for a Super Weekend?

This weekend is shaping up to be a Super one filled with a myriad of events for everyone to have a super, fun time!
Calling all sports fans! Grab your crew for football’s biggest night, as the 2025 Super Bowl LIX is here. And even though our Bears are not competing, Chicagoans are still gearing up to cheer on their favorite team as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. However, there are many exciting watch parties taking place across the city (after all this is Chicago). So, whether you’re looking for drink specials, game day bites, or a fun, interactive atmosphere, here are some of the best places to catch all the action for Super Bowl LIX in Chicago!

Returning this Saturday with extended hours from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. to its original home at Navy Pier’s Lakeview Terrace (600 E. Grand Ave.) in the Streeterville neighborhood is the 11th annual Cider Summit Chicago. The region’s largest cider tasting features 125+ ciders, cider cocktails, and fruit spirits from more than 40 local, regional, and international producers. In addition, this event includes the 3rd annual Escanciador (Spanish pour) competition finals as well as a Northwest regional showcase, onsite food sampling, and an event store offering a variety of festival merchandise!
Chicago’s very first Valentine’s Day Chicago Zombie Prom takes place this Saturday (8 p.m.-1:30 a.m.) at Tip Top Tap at the Warwick Allerton Hotel (701 N. Michigan Ave.) on the Magnificent Mile. Show up in your best undead attire for this ‘80s-themed dance party, complete with drinks and a live Burlesque show. This prom also features a $200 Patron costume contest for the best dressed zombie, retro horror film trailers, a human head croquet obstacle course, and more. In addition, a zombie prom king and queen will be crowned as well. Plus, you can book a zombie makeover with a professional artist at the event if you don’t feel like goring yourself up!
Uptown’s annual Argyle Lunar New Year Celebration takes place this Saturday (10 a.m.-4 p.m.) to welcome the Year of the Snake (4723) with the parade kicking off at 1 p.m. from Argyle and Sheridan. Its new route this year moves west on Argyle, north on Broadway, and ending at Broadway and Winona. The parade features 20+ local community groups, cultural institutions, dancers, and performers. Also, a number of local organizations are planning pop-ups with family-friendly activities which include a Year of the Snake reptile display, Lunar New Year stories and crafts, post parade performances, and much more!
Chinatown’s annual Lunar New Year Parade takes place this Sunday (1 p.m.-3 p.m.) kicking off at the intersection of 24th Street and Wentworth Avenue then traveling north on Wentworth to the viewing stand at Cermak Road. Attendees can expect a dazzling procession filled with traditional dragon dancers, lion dancers, marching bands, and beautiful floats celebrating the rich cultural heritage of this Chinese community. Afterwards, continue enjoying your family-friendly day experiencing old and new Chinese culture as well as their cuisine in this century-old neighborhood!
