Another gorgeous autumn weekend is in store for us so be sure to fit at least one of this weekend’s events into your schedule!

This weekend’s headlining event is Sunday’s Bank of America Chicago Marathon where more than 45,000 runners make their way through a 26.2-mile course located in 29 of Chicago’s neighborhoods.  The start and finish lines are at Grant Park (337 E. Randolph St.) in The Loop; however, this area is not open to the public.  But you can participate as a spectator by joining the crowds lining the course’s neighborhood streets who will be toting handmade signs, blaring music, and encouraging all the runners as they whiz by.  Or you can meet your runner at Grant Park’s reunite area starting at 9:30 a.m.  This is a great event that has produced four world records, several national records, and countless personal bests from both professional runners and debut marathoners alike!

Dovetail Brewery and Begyle Brewing are hosting their annual Fall party, Oktoberfestiversary, this Saturday (11 a.m.-10 p.m.) and Sunday (11 a.m.-9 p.m.) in their outside shared lot between the breweries at 1800 West Belle Plaine Avenue in the North Center neighborhood.  Besides featuring special beer tapping’s from both breweries, attendees can enjoy live music and delicious bites that include wood-fired pizza, sweet treats, sausages, mac & cheese, Mexican fare, lobster rolls from Happy Lobster, BBQ & sides from Soul & Smoke, sandwiches & sides from The Fat Shallot, and Yum Dum Dumplings.  In addition, activities for the kids include balloon animals, coloring activity, face painting (Sunday only), Skeeball and more.  Come celebrate the coolest season in Chicago as well as celebrating Begyle’s 12th anniversary!

The 51st annual Historic Pullman House Tour takes place this Saturday and Sunday (11 a.m.-5 p.m.) at the Pullman Exhibit Hall (11141 S. Cottage Grove Ave.) in the Pullman neighborhood.  It’s a perfect weekend filled with history, architecture, and community spirit as you step back in time and explore beautiful, iconic homes, and selected public buildings as you learn about the rich heritage of this historic area.  Plus this tour offers exciting exhibits, delicious food, entertainment, and neighborhood attractions!

Mix and mingle at Boos & Brews this Saturday (5 p.m.-8 p.m.) at Gallagher Way (3637 N. Clark St.) in the Wrigleyville neighborhood.  This Fall fest offers the opportunity to enjoy a performance from the Midwest Dueling Pianos, themed seasonal drinks, a s’mores bar, seasonal activities that include tarot card readings, and more.  So, bring a friend, a special someone, or just come solo and get in the spooky spirit for the upcoming Halloween season!

From Chicago’s premiere summer pop-up shopping destination, the Randolph Street Market, comes Modern Vintage Chicago this Sunday (10 a.m.-5 p.m.) at Ravenswood Event Center (4043 N.
